lyrics

it took just one show, for things to explode
my thoughts to jump ship and reach up and then out
into the seed, where i wonder what's me
the guess of the shape of the pit of my mind
directly relates to the size of the pellet

and if i can't probe with a scalpel quite skinny enough
well i'll guess, and i'll speak to the crowd
and try to explain what i see

we'll pool all our tools and our dreams
and everyone puts in their lunch money
and we'll tell all our friends to come over and see
what they've inspired and hired by helping us be
i've been shaped by my landscape, but more by the boys
whose bellybutton magnets i gravitated towards
together we played, so innocently
rock rampaged our way to where we are now
and today they still call us the posse

well it took just one smile, and i spun wild
my thoughts they jumped ship to reach up and then out
into the place, where i don't know my own face
the disgust in the space in the back of my spine
seems to take shape from the points of our contact

and if i can't be with myself while completely alone
well i'll die, and they'll speak to the crowd
and they'll try to explain what was me

so i'll drop all my tools and my dreams
and you guys can have all my lunch money
i'll become all my friends, through their memories
which surely equilibrate into the sea
did i shape my own landscape inside of the noise?
with signals defined by the eyes that are yours
together we played so innocently
rock rampaged our way to where we are now
and today they still call us human beans
